Recently I began to get cucumbers from my garden – nice beautiful cucumbers. Once cucumbers are produced, I actually like pickling them to get pickles- whether it be slices, chips or the whole pickles… However, in order to do that – there is a step by step process.
First off the garden itself has to be tended to- such as tilled, cultivated and given attention to- once that takes place properly – You’re set in motion to see the fruit of your labor of course you have to water it accordingly. Once my cucumbers got of age and size- after washing them I would cut em up and begin the process. Certain people process em in different ways. I place mine in a mason jar of vinegar- put my pickling season in them and whatever else I deem necessary, cover the jar with the top- some people leave the top a little loose- when putting it in a pot of boiling water, but I secure mine – I let mine boil in that condition for about 15-20 minutes or until it turns the pickle color (dark green). Then I remove the jar out of the boiling water- and let it cool. Through that process my pickles are usually full of flavor and crunchy, and great to enjoy as a snack
Once I finished a pickling process recently, I began to think about how God deals with us as it relates to our walk in Life. The pickles do not become pickles without the heated water that causes it to change its texture and become the desired snack that so many love to partake of. Many times, we do not get to the place that we desire to be and God desires for us to be without Heated processes that causes conditions to change in and around us. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego- had some heated circumstances but in the end, they were in a beautiful favorable position. Joseph the Dreamer- experienced some heated conditions, but in the end according to his words- it led him to the Place of God for his life. These are just a couple biblical examples that speaks to us and reminds us that when the heat is turned up- its not a time to quit and tuck, but it’s a time to seek the purpose of God for this moment. For we know that All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Be Blessed and accept nothing less then your best!!
